
Bar Lead
As the Bar Lead, you ensure that all aspects of beverage operations are planned and executed to the highest standard. This includes preparation (inventory, ordering, repair and maintenance), staff performance (training and menu knowledge), and excellence in hospitality and customer experience (leading by example). The Bar Lead is a development role for Bartenders with Shift Leader experience who are looking to Grow With Us towards management positions. Supports GM in training, monitoring, and providing feedback to all staff Supports scheduling and supervision of all location employees as shift leader, and oversight of contractors / vendors as appropriate Effective coaching-centered leadership of workforce through quality communication, mentoring and training to undertake duties and comply with all policies and procedures in place; creates a safe, positive, supportive working environment through setting the best examples around consistency, high service standards, continual two-way feedback, mutual respect and collaboration Receives customer feedback / concerns as escalated from direct reports and resolves in line with business philosophy to customer’s satisfaction; educates all staff to provide a service that generates repeat business and regular guests; responds to all customer enquiries / reservations within established time frames Participates and champions the prevailing marketing, programming and promotions strategy as developed by the Company, marketing team and GM; Supports achievement of budgeted targets (revenue and expenses), and continuous and prudent management of controllable costs Ensures all staff and contractors are compliant with statutory obligations under the Liquor Act/Serving It Right, municipal bylaws, provincial and federal regulations and other legislation as applicable. Undertakes bartending / service shifts on a regular basis including evenings and weekends Supports staff awareness of and compliance with all Policies and standard operating procedures. From time to time, may be required to assume responsibility for special projects and initiatives as directed by This is Blueprint management
Required Skills & Experience
Prior demonstrable Bartending experience including shift leadership in a fast-paced restaurant / pub / lounge environment (2+ years); Knowledge of appropriate statutory regulations and guiding principles including but not limited to Liquor Act, Occupational Health & Safety, Employment Standards, local bylaws governing liquor primary venues Proven ability to communicate effectively and resolve patron issues in a professional, consistent manner
